Comprehensive Mental Health & Substance Abuse Evaluations - What to Expect
Effective evaluations make possible the following services over the long term
This part of the therapy process is essential to receiving long term counseling with our agency or if you're a judicially referred client. Our trained therapists take this time to get to know you.
This is NOT a psychiatric evaluation conducted by an MD or Psychiatrist, this is simply a way for our agency to get to know you better and where you've been in order to help you in a more comprehensive way.
In addition, Medicaid and/or private insurance require that we obtain a diagnosis in order to bill for your services with our agency. Best Practice Standards would recommend a thorough evaluation (Outside of a Treat First Approach) beforehand.
You may use this time to speak about what brought you to our agency and how you feel your mental health needs can best be met.
